Free DMV Written Test Simulator for Colorado | Updated for 2024 | CO
Colorado requires anyone under 21 applying for their license to get an instruction permit first, which can be issued at your local DMV by first taking a written knowledge test of 25 multiple-choice questions. You’ll need an 80% on your DMV written test to pass; you’ll also need to take a vision test, pay a $16.80 permit fee, and provide a parental consent form if you’re under 18. If you’re between 15 and 16, you’ll also need to provide proof you’ve completed a driver education course. The knowledge test will be based on information from the 2024 Colorado Driver Handbook, with specific questions on safe driving techniques, road signs, and driving under the influence. The written test is offered at the DMV in English or Spanish, though you can also arrange for a sign language interpreter or take it at a third party driver’s school, which may offer it in another language. This FREE CO DMV written test simulator contains 32 questions, and you must answer 24 of them correctly to pass. Read the question below and choose one of the answers that follow. You can choose the best answer based on your knowledge or intuition, or you may use our hints to help you. The progress bar on the left-hand side of the page will show you how well you’ve answered each question. If your answer is correct, the next question is displayed automatically. If not – read our explanation and try to remember the right answer, who knows — you might get a similar question on the real DMV test. Do the test again and again until you’re satisfied with the result – the answers will be randomized for you.
